Counted Quilts

Making Quilts that Count

My goal is to help Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties, and Friends make a cute and fun quilt for those that matter most to you. And let’s not forget all you wonderful volunteers who donate you time and talents to make a special quilt for those you don't even know.

What is a Counted Quilt?

A Counted Quilt is a simple and fun way to create a picture style quilt without appliqué.

That's right, just pieced together in 3 steps.

Step 1 - Cut 2 or 3 different size strips.

Step 2 - Cut those strips into different length pieces and label alphabetically.

Step 3 - Sew piece by piece, row by row, referring to a full page, color, labeled image of the quilt top.

The shaping is done with half square triangles using the quick corner method,

placing a square on top of another piece and sewing corner to corner, then cutting off the extra fabric.
